Helping Heroes: Meet Phoenix

KTR Group is proud to announce our newest sponsorship through K9s For Warriors — and with it, we’re so excited to introduce you to Phoenix, a three-year-old poodle and future Service Dog!

Phoenix recently arrived at the K9s For Warriors San Antonio campus from a partner organization in Waco. Though she’s still settling in and learning the ropes, Phoenix is already showing signs of being a star in the making: affectionate, attentive, and laser-focused on her trainer. All incredible traits for a Service Dog in training!

What makes Phoenix extra special is that she’s a hypoallergenic breed, a critical need for many Warriors with doctor-ordered allergy accommodations. Because K9s For Warriors primarily works with rescue dogs, poodles like Phoenix are few and far between — making her a rare and valuable addition to the program. For Warriors waiting specifically for a hypoallergenic Service Dog, Phoenix represents both hope and healing.

Thanks to the support from the KTR team, Phoenix is now on her journey to become a life-changing companion for a deserving Warrior. We couldn’t be more honored to play a role in this mission alongside K9s For Warriors, an organization that continues to transform the lives of veterans dealing with PTSD, traumatic brain injury, and other service-connected challenges.
